Wallet setup

What you'll need to connect and fund an account.

Onchain trading runs on Robinhood Chain Testnet. Everything on it is free test value: you can't lose real money, and nothing you earn there is worth anything.

    Install a browser wallet

    MetaMask or Rabby both work. Evergreen is non-custodial: your collateral only moves when you sign a transaction.

    Connect and switch network

    Open the webapp, choose Onchain at the top, then click Connect wallet. Your wallet will offer to add and switch to Robinhood Chain Testnet (chain ID 46630).

    Get test ETH for gas

    Claim free test ETH from the Robinhood Chain faucet (once every 24 hours). A single claim covers hundreds of trades.

    Claim tUSDG

    In the trade panel, click Claim 10,000 free tUSDG, then Enable tUSDG for trading once. tUSDG is Evergreen's test version of USDG and can be claimed every 24 hours.

Prices on the testnet

Robinhood Chain Testnet has no independent stock price oracle yet, so testnet prices are published onchain by Evergreen's own keeper from live U.S. market data. If the keeper stops for more than 30 minutes, trading pauses automatically rather than using an outdated price. A mainnet launch would use an independent oracle network instead.

Keeping your wallet safe

  • Never share your seed phrase or private key. Evergreen will never ask for them.
  • Only connect through the official Evergreen site, and check the address bar before signing.
  • Review every transaction your wallet asks you to sign, including the amount and the contract.
